Images in MH Edition WordPress Theme

In general WordPress themes have defined their own image dimensions and thumbnail sizes. These thumbnails are automatically generated by WordPress when you upload an image. If you change your WordPress theme, it could happen that the thumbnail requirements of your new theme do not match the sizes of the available thumbnails in your media folder. In this case, your thumbnails will not look consistent in size. You can solve this by regenerating your thumbnails.

Image dimensions in MH Edition:

  • 1120 x 476px (Thumbnails for the “MH Slider” widget)
  • 737 x 415px (Thumbnails for posts and “MH Posts Large” widget)
  • 355 x 200px (Thumbnails for “MH Posts List”, “MH Posts Grid”, etc. widget)
  • 97 x 73 (Small Thumbnails for “MH Custom Posts” widget)

MH Edition Magazine WordPress Theme uses featured images for the thumbnails on archives and within the custom widgets. If you already uploaded images to your website or added images manually to your posts, it may happen that these images don’t appear as thumbnails. This can be solved easily, please read and follow this: How to use featured images in WordPress.

Logo, Header Image, Banner & Site Title

With MH Edition you may customize your header in many different ways. To upload a logo and or a full-width header image go to “Appearance => Customize => Header Image” in your WordPress dashboard. To display/hide the site title and tagline, you can simply navigate to “Appearance => Customize => Site Identity” and make your changes.

In case you would like to place a banner inside your header, or in other widget areas on your website, we recommend you to use a default WordPress text widget and insert your preferred image/banner URL with HTML. In case of the header you can place the text widget inside the Header 2 widget area and if you would like to place a banner above the header area, place the text widget inside the Header 1 widget area.
